hmmm. i was supposed to post this yesterday but my brother used the computer without my permission.
HAHAHA. i can't believe a boxer can break his shin into half, fall, and still wave to the damn referee.

HAHAHAHAHHA. as quoted by my brother whose talking on the phone with his friend.
"eh sial lah, kaki dia patah lembek siol, yang ultimate fighting challenge. adik aku ah"
this is gorgeous. all thanks to my dear girlfriend who made my heart jump looking at the leg, but break into fits of laughter after looking at the guy's reaction.
heh. today was fun. two movies at a shot with love. and we didn't even have to pay for one.
CURSE OF THE GOLDEN FLOWER is one of the better chinese movies i have ever seen. it's a fatal twist of incest, poisoning, filial piety, chinese medicine, thai-like dressed women, silicone-like boobs, and chinese warfare. the scene which will eject you from your seat is the Emperor beating his son with his gold belt to a pulp. literally. pulp. the boy was flattened and dead and chow yun FAT was laughing like he just had sex with 5 gong lis. Jay Chou is not particularly good in this movie but he had a part to play and he did quite a satisfactory job i guess.
Other than that very informal review, the sets are amazing. the myriad of colours in the palace of the forbidden city sure looked real. the costumes were equally stunning. the storyline is good and straightfoward. you won't fall asleep watching this.
oh yeah, just that very dumb and extremely irritating voice in the background that reminds you that an hour has passed, or someone's coming. we never really got to see that guy.
as usual we went to the toilet after the movie and we decided to laze around.
*pop*
we ended up watching another movie. deathnote 2. it wasn't really that bad just that you have to watch the first one.
hahaha. it sure felt good. just that lin was nervous that we'll be embarassed by people who woulc claim that it's their seat. we did get caught, but she was the one who reacted properly by telling me "where our 'tickets'? check again". hahaha.
never knew a weekend movie ticket could go a long way. the best time to plan these kind of schemes is the year 2007. good movies come by the bucketload.
selamat hari raya haji to all. have fun with alll the mutton.
oh and a very happy new year. 2007! whoo. it's going to be 11 months soon =)
